Happy Winter/Frosty the Snowman
Frosty the Snowman by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, arranged by Jill Gallina
Happy Winter
Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Look at Frosty go. Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Over the hills of snow. Happy winter, happy winter. It's the coldest time of year. Time for diggin' out your ice skates And some wooly things to wear. Happy winter, happy winter. Maybe it will snow tonight. Then we'll build a jolly snowman Or we'll have a snowball fight. We'll pack the snow and as we go we can roll it on the ground. We'll build a rolly, poly snowman about three feet a round. Happy winter, happy winter. Time to go outside and play. Have the happiest of winters And a very happy holiday. Frosty the Snowman Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Look at Frosty go. Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Over the hills of snow. Frosty the snowman Was a jolly happy soul With a corncob pipe and a button nose And two eyes made out of coal. Frosty the snowman Was a fairy tale they say. He was made of snow but the children know How he came to life one day. There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found, 'Cause when they placed it on his head he began to dance around. Frosty the snowman Was alive as he could be, But the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me. Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Frosty's on his way, Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, Sayin' have a happy holiday. |

Winter Wonderland
Words by Dick Smith, Music by Felix Bernard, Arranged by James Rooker
VERSE 1
Sleigh bells ring, are you list’nin’? In the lane, snow is glist’nin’. A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walkin’ in a winter wonderland. VERSE 2 Gone away is the bluebird. Here to stay is a new bird. He sings a love song as we go along, walkin’ in a winter wonderland. CHORUS In the meadow we can build a snowman, then pretend that he is Parson Brown. He’ll say, “Are you married?” We’ll say, “No man, but you can do the job when you’re in town.” VERSE 3 Later on we’ll conspire as we dream by the fire, to face unafraid the plans that we’ve made, walkin’ in a winter wonderland. CHORUS In the meadow we can build a snowman and pretend that he’s a circus clown. We’ll have lots of fun with Mister Snowman until the other kiddies knock him down. VERSE 4 When it snows ain’t it thrillin’, though your nose gets a chillin’. We’ll frolic and play the Eskimo way, walkin’ in a winter wonderland. |
