Paul Just
Paul Just is a 2005 graduate of St. John’s University, holding a B.A. in Vocal Music Performance. He also holds a MMus in Opera from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Paul cut his teeth professionally with Vancouver Opera, DragonDiva Operatic Theatre, and Burnaby Lyric Opera. In addition, he has performed with Portland Summer Opera Studio, Vancouver Concert Opera, and as the tenor section leader for the Shaughnessy Heights United Church Sanctuary Choir for a decade, including a European Tour in 2016. In addition to performing, Paul has acted as producer for numerous concerts and concert opera performances in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. In 2016, Paul switched gears and began pursuing theatre and musical theatre on a professional level. He is a two-time award winner with past credits that include Hipolito/Elton John/Belgian Tourist in the Canadian première of Amélie: the Musical, Cinderella’s Prince in Into The Woods, Greek Chorus in Trouble in Tahiti , and Ensemble/Chorus in Vancouver Opera’s Dead Man Walking. Paul also had the great honour of appearing on Xing Guang Da Dao (Star Road) in 2011 for China Central Television, one of the most watched television programs in China, where he and his singing partner advanced to the final round of the competition. When not on stage, Paul can be found in the kitchen, whipping up French pastry, or hard at work on his first novel. |
