"The organ has "stops" that activate different kinds of pipes. The pipe family and pitch level are written on the stop, so I have a general idea of what the sound will be. UNFORTUNATELY, there is lots of variation in volume and sound color for each pipe family, so the only way to know for sure is to try each stop.
