"Yes! Most orchestra or band concerts have a dress-code, meaning we are given guidelines for what to wear so the musicians all look similar and professional. The most common thing musicians hear is "concert black". This usually means all black clothes, and it implies no sneakers, sweatpants/leggings or jeans or other casual clothes. If I play with a jazz band I get to pick what to wear which is usually a dress I feel pretty in. When I play chamber music with my quartet, we pick our dress code and prefer to pick a color we will try to include, or just do something casual and we end up not matching and that is ok!" -Brooklynne Audette
