"I have been very interested in music for as long as I can remember. I remember wanting to know how to read it even before I had learned how to read English. When I was very young, before I had received any sort of musical training, I realized that that there were songs with different meters, and that made me realize that music was based in structures that could be uncovered if you listened carefully. I could also see that music was very important to my father, and that he had a great reverence for musicians, and I think that informed my attitude toward music. My mother had also kept a violin from her childhood, and even though she barely played it (she got into it again as I got older), it fueled my curiosity. I wanted to learn how to lead the a cappella singing at my family's church." -David McCarthy "My older brother was pretty good at playing keyboard, and I was frustrated that I couldn't play songs as easily as he could. I think this counts as being interested in music, since I was bothered about not knowing how to make music like he could!" -Brooklynne Audette "Always! I used to sneak a radio into my room at bedtime. And I remember buying my first ever cassett in 2nd grade" -Zack Baltich
